When it comes to burning fat, and getting rid of that stubborn flab… a big part of it is to do with your metabolism.

I can already hear you saying, “I have a slow metabolism, so it’s hard for me to burn fat.”

And yes, a slower metabolism generally results in unwanted fat, in all the wrong places! Plus, it also increases your chances of contracting other nasty health conditions.

So, keep reading. As I’ll share with you some top tips to help you boost metabolism… and increase your fat burning potential.

Aim to include some of these weight loss tools into your routine. And, if you include them all… you sure are a superstar!

OK, let’s uncover these metabolism boosting tips, to help you burn fat faster. So, then you can finally shed that unwanted weight… to look and feel fantastic in your new body!

1. Start with a Good Morning Meal

Having meals are important, yet eating breakfast fires up your metabolism earlier than if you didn’t have it. Studies show that those who eat a healthy breakfast, lose more weight than those who don’t.

Now, I’ve been told by clients before that they find it hard to eat breakfast. So, the easiest way to get around that is to not have a massive breakfast. Yes, it’s that simple.

Start with something small like an apple or banana. Anyone can incorporate this in their daily routine, even if you lead a busy lifestyle. NO excuses. Then, as you get used to eating breakfast each day, start trying different things.

How about a couple of poached eggs with some sautéed tomatoes, mushrooms and spinach? This is a super healthy and protein packed lean breakfast. This will boost metabolism, having it revved up and burning fat in no time.

2. Eat Often

I know, that kind of sounds weird when you’re trying to lose weight. But LISTEN… Eating regularly keeps your metabolism raised throughout the day and night. And, this helps to keep your fat burning machine going.

Now, if you’ve read up on my fat loss information and tips, you need to keep remembering this…

Instead of eating 2 - 3 big meals a day, have smaller portions more frequently. Eating smaller portioned meals more frequently helps keep your energy levels stable. Plus, it stops your metabolism from slowing down.

We want CONSTANT fat burning to help reach your goals… not a rollercoaster ride of up and down!

Always remember to eat healthy nutrient rich food, including snacks. Many people ask me what to have for healthy snacks.

It can be as simple as a handful of mixed nuts with a piece of fruit. Or some delicious natural Greek yogurt with berries.

Not only are these loaded with nutrients and fiber… it’ll help keep you fuller for longer and your body burning fat regularly. So, eat smaller portions throughout the day to keep that metabolism going for constant fat burning.

3. Spice It Up

When many people think of herbs and spices, they look at them as flavor enhancers for meals. Yes, they sure do that.

Yet, plenty of research has shown that various spices can boost metabolism. Plus, they’re great for their strong medicinal qualities to stay healthy.

And, one of the great metabolism boosting foods I recommend are, chilies. They’re so small, yet they’re a spice that can skyrocket your metabolism!

For those who’ve eaten chilies, you know that feeling of warmness it brings about… as its thermogenic properties that heat you up on a cellular level. So, spice up your meals with chilies to get that zing in your metabolism.

A spice that many wouldn’t think helps with burning fat is cinnamon.

This fragrant spice has been shown to stabilize blood sugar levels… and minimize insulin resistance. So, it’s great not only for diabetics but for anyone who wants to increase fat burn.

There are plenty of other options like turmeric, pepper and ginger. If you think creatively, you could add herbs and spices to a lot of your meals. And, it’s so simple to do.

So, when you do that… imagine your metabolism constantly working away burning that horrible fat. Then, you can help fast track reaching your weight loss goals… to look amazing in your favorite pair of jeans, swimsuit or tight t-shirt!

4. Move It to Lose It

Now that you understand how food can be used to boost metabolism… if you want to speed up fat burning, then include regular exercise.

And, a great weight loss tip when it comes to exercising is this…

Exercise in the morning. By doing this it’ll fire up that metabolism earlier and burn fat quicker. Why wait until the afternoon? Start burning fat faster as soon as you wake up!

Plus, when you exercise in the morning it’ll also release those feel good hormones earlier… and help to set up your day for success.

Those endorphins “feel good hormones,” will help put you in a more positive frame of mind. Plus, you’ll feel more alert… which will help keep your mind focused on sticking to your weight loss routine.

Research has also shown that exercise enhances mental sharpness for up to 8 hours. That’s mind-blowing!

So, combining a morning exercise routine followed by a healthy breakfast as I mentioned before… will help with burning fat faster and earlier, thanks to their metabolic effects.

If you struggle to exercise in the morning… find a training buddy as this will help hold each of you accountable. Or, listen to some motivational music or audios to get you pumped up.

Aim for at least 20 minutes of exercise if you’re not used to it. Then increase the time and intensity of your exercise routine as you progress.

Let me tell you, when my clients see progress with their bodies looking slim and toned… they want to increase their workout routines to get results even faster! So, get moving and find a place to workout today.

5. Weigh It Up

When it comes to weight training or resistance training, this has been seen as a big negative for decades in losing weight. And, that’s because many people believed you had to run on a treadmill for hours to burn fat.

Well, this sure isn’t the truth! Weight training has been shown to have an AMAZING fat burning effect on the body.

All exercises boost metabolism, but weight training is especially effective. And, when it’s combined with high intensity interval training… your metabolism will skyrocket, and can have your body burning fat for many hours.

Plus, the bonus is… all that unwanted body fat will continue burning even AFTER you’ve finished exercising. And, that’s because of EPOC (post exercise oxygen consumption).

Now ladies, I can see you screwing up your face about doing weight training. Many women shy away from doing weights, because you think you’ll bulk up.

This is a myth… Unless you’re doing some seriously heavy weight training routine 5-6 days a week. And, you’re combining that with supplements or other stimulants or enhancers. I’m sure most of you wouldn’t be doing that!

So, flush that weight training for women and bulking up myth out of your head. Weight training IS effective to boost metabolism, without beefing up.

Aim to include 3 x 20-minute weight training sessions into your week. Depending on your fitness levels… you could combine them into a high intensity interval workout, to help burn fat faster.

6. Stress Less

There is plenty of research out there about the effects of stress on the body.

And, it’s not only external factors that cause stress in the body, such as issues at work. Stress can also be caused by the foods and drinks you consume. That surprised you, right? Because many of those “experts” don’t tell you something as critical as this, for effective weight loss.

A major culprit is those processed foods and drinks. Those “hidden” toxic ingredients in many processed foods can lead to more stresses in the body… such as inflammation.

It can also cause havoc with your hormones leaving you unmotivated and feeling flat. And, this then makes you want to binge on bad foods, adding more unwanted fat to your body.

Think about it… how many of you get stressed from work, family life or eat lots of processed food? I’d say many of you. And look, it’s not your fault.

You just need to STOP, recognize what’s happening in your life… and make step by step changes. Take the time to reduce some of the stress in your life.

And, one of the easiest and quickest ways is through your diet. Include more wholesome and fresh foods into your diet. When you start reducing those bad and processed foods, you’ll notice how much better you’ll feel and look.

Other ways to help reduce stress is to meditate… or even watch funny things. Plus, remember those feel good hormones I mentioned earlier? Get moving and exercise to get them raging in your body!
